Sabrena Akenten is the Chief Human Resources Officer at The Center for Pursuit, responsible for the organization’s Human Resources Strategy. Sabrena is also the Contract Officer for CRI Federal, a subsidiary of The Center for Pursuit that employs veterans and individuals with IDD. Sabrena holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Management from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a senior-level Human Resources certification from both credentialing Agencies, Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), and Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Sabrena is a Board Member of I-Thrive Empowerment a non-profit agency that focuses on empowering, educating, and transforming the lives of girls ages 12-25. She also volunteers with SHRM to advance the Human Resources Profession. In the past, Sabrena has served as a committee member on the Mayor’s Initiative for Persons with Disabilities.
