Damien Harris joined The Center for Pursuit as Director of the Adult Activity Center in 2018. In this role, he was responsible for the development, operation, and management of the AAC. Damien previously served in this position at The Center from 2013-2015; and has contributed as a Home and Community-based Services/Intermediate Care Facilities Program Manager at The Center in the past. Currently, Damien is The Center’s Director of Residential Services, in which he oversees the HCS Program, Independent Living Program, Enrichment Program, and Supported Independent Living Program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management Information Systems from Ouachita Baptist University. Prior to coming on board at The Center, Damien served as the HCS Program Director and Residential Director at Vita-Living, Inc., where his responsibilities included oversight of the HCS, ICF, and Day Habilitation programs as well as staff training in areas such as HIPAA, fraud, and clients’ rights. Other professional experiences include serving as a Facility Investigator for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and an Inspector for the Department of State Health Services. Damien is driven by a passion for serving individuals with I/DD and helping them to maintain safe, satisfying, and meaningful lives.
