Damien Harris joined The Center as Director of the Adult Activity Center (AAC) in 2018. In his role, he is responsible for the development, operation, and management of the AAC. Damien previously served in this position at The Center from 2013-2015 and has also contributed as an HCS-ICF Program Manager in the past. Originally from Arkansas, Damien has lived in Houston for almost 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management Information Systems from Ouachita Baptist University. Prior to coming on board at The Center, Damien served as the HCS Program Director and Residential Director at Vita-Living, Inc., where his responsibilities included oversight of the HCS, ICF, and Day Habilitation programs as well as staff training in areas such as HIPAA and clients’ rights. Other professional experiences include serving as a Facility Investigator for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and an Inspector for the Department of State Health Services. Damien is driven by a passion for serving individuals with I/DD and helping them to maintain safe, satisfying, and meaningful lives.
