Julie Reyes
Senior Director of Human Resources

Julie is the Senior Director of Human Resources at The Center for Pursuit. With a passion for people management, she drives the agency’s HR strategy, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations. Julie advises directors and executives, combining her expertise in HR laws with a commitment to fairness and integrity.

Her career began in 2000 at the Department of Family and Protective Services, where she protected vulnerable populations. Julie held the highest investigative roles, managed intensive investigative units, and OJT training teams. As an expert interviewer and investigator, Julie was often called upon by local, state, and federal criminal investigators to perform interviews and testify in court as an expert witness. At the Houston Independent School District, she honed her HR investigative skills as a lead HR investigator.

Julie actively contributes to the HR community through memberships in HR Houston and the Society for Human Resources Management. Her dedication and professionalism have earned her a reputation as a trusted leader. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and has the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion (CDEIC) certifications. Additionally, she holds an HR certificate from Rice University.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Resources at Southern New Hampshire University, Julie is committed to advancing the field. Since joining The Center for Pursuit in 2018, she has found purpose and honor in leading The Center’s HR team while serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
