The Center’s Behavioral Services department provides counseling services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, and related conditions. Counseling services at The Center are open to any qualifying members of the community regardless of whether or not they are currently enrolled as clients of The Center. All services are delivered by The Center’s Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor.
Services include:
• Individual counseling
• Group counseling
• Behavior supports (therapy and support plans)
• Psychoeducation (hygiene, money management, life skills)
• SMART Skills sessions (must enroll through The Center’s admissions process)
Counseling services are offered in a safe and confidential environment where individuals can explore their personal feelings and concerns in an effort to increase self-awareness, make good choices, establish satisfying relationships, set personal goals, and achieve overall mental well-being. Counseling services at The Center also help those living with emotional, psychological, social, or behavioral problems as well as other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.
