Harvey Update: Day Services Closed through the End of the Week

The city of Houston is experiencing an unprecedented weather event that has left many of its residents, businesses– large and small, service and community-based organizations, and area services inoperable. Because of the immeasurable devastation throughout the city and unfortunately, on our very campus, we are canceling all of our day program services and will remain closed for the rest of the week. Our clients who are housed in the Cullen Residential Building on our W. Dallas Campus remain safe and well-attended by our great staff.

In our 67 year history of serving the Houston community, we have maintained a level of integrity in our services that we are not willing to compromise for the sake of expediency. We have been informed that, as for now, MetroLift has not resumed services and therefore, limits transportation capabilities for our clients. We are aware of the families that this impacts. However, in an effort to ensure that our clients’ well-being remain our top priority, the decision to remain closed had to be made. Please know that we are making every effort to start services as soon as possible.

We are sincerely grateful to all who have reached out to us to check on our clients and organization. Continue to look for our updates on our website and social media pages for up-to-date information.

If you have questions or concerns not addressed on our website, please feel free to contact our Community Relations Manager, Natasha Turner at 346.240.6193. She will be able to direct your inquiries to the appropriate administrator.

Thank you all for your support and stay safe.

Sincerely,
The Center Management
