Whether considered a tropical storm or a hurricane, Harvey has definitely impacted Houston and its surrounding areas in ways we have never seen before. However, we want to ensure those of you who have entrusted your loved ones to our care at The Center that they are being well-cared for by our diligent staff who willingly left their families to assure the safety of our clients.
Our clients who normally reside at our Willow River Farms campus joined our clients at the Cullen Residential Building on our W. Dallas Campus well before the storm took over the city. Please know that there has not been a discontinuation of care and services to those clients nor to our clients housed in group homes throughout the west side of the city. They are all safe and sound with staff attending to their needs.
While you may feel the need to have your loved one with you during this time, we are strongly urging you not to try and come to either The Center or any of our group homes. The city has issued severe travel warnings throughout our area that present hazardous driving conditions and we want you to stay safe. We will continue to update you about The Center and our services as we learn more about the impact of this weather. In the interim, if you have questions, please feel free to send us a direct message to our Facebook inbox or call our Community Relations Manager, Natasha Turner at 346.240.6193 and she will help you with your inquiry.
Please continue to stay safe.
