Essential Houston Events for disABILITY Allies this Fall

Fall Events Header

Houston is the most populous metropolitan area in a state that consistently ranks 50th in the nation for disability services. While that statistic may sound discouraging, we continue to be amazed each day by the rich culture of philanthropy and volunteerism cultivated in our city by ordinary people who see this serious need as an opportunity to get out there and help.

If you’ve been married to the A/C all summer, now is the perfect time to get back out and get active for the causes you care about most (we swear we felt a cool breeze just now). The Center has a busy fall season planned, filled with both indoor and outdoor events to bring people together in support of our neighbors with disABILITIES. Read on to see our big three picks and find out how you can get involved!

Can’t make it? You or your company can still get involved as a clay shoot sponsor. Visit our event web page for information on sponsorship packages.

Team Pursuit The Center 2

Get your exercise while showing support for your neighbors with I/DD! Sign up for The Center’s team in the Bike to the Beach Texas Ride for Autism and disABILITIES.

If you’re not able to join us for the big ride, you can sign up for the indoor “ride-along” at the Mission Control spin studio on The Center’s West Dallas campus from November 5-8th. More information to come.
