Charles C. Canton is President and CEO of The Center for Pursuit. He joined our organization in 2018, bringing with him 15 years of experience as a distinguished non-profit leader and more than four decades of success in management. Charles was previously Vice President of Operations for Goodwill Industries of Houston from 2002 through 2017, overseeing 65 stores and 48 donation locations, transportation, maintenance and I/T. During his tenure, he was responsible for growing the organization into a nationally recognized system of retail operations. Additionally, Charles spent 18 years at IBM in operational, sales and management roles along with 6 years in the telecommunication industry.
Charles holds both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Management and an MBA from Houston Baptist University, where he is also a former Alumni Board Chairman. Charles is committed to the growth and improvement of ways to empower the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is committed to bringing choice, growth and independence to individuals in the Houston area with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism. He devotes time to family and his garden.
